Producers will now be able to purchase the latest portable technology conveniently pre-loaded with a full range of agriculture information applications with the DTN/The Progressive Farmer's DTN Mobile Bundle for iPad. For a cost-saving monthly fee, users will receive an iPad complete with a one-year subscription to DTN Online Professional, DTN Ag Weather Tools app and access to DTN Mobile for use on iPhone and Android.
DTN/The Progressive Farmer Online Professional allows users to conveniently browse award-winning news, blogs, market commentary and weather information wherever their work takes them. Producers can use the iPad's GPS and high definition screen for location-specific weather forecasts to display interactive maps, videos and up-to-the-moment market information on the go, allowing confident decision-making regardless of their location. DTN Mobile provides similar features on iPhone and Android.
The DTN Ag Weather Tools app provides more in-depth weather forecasting, including first-of-its-kind Roaming Alerting, instantly updating the user's exact location and sending an alert when potentially harmful weather is in the area. Location-specific precipitation, wind and temperature data provides producers with the data necessary to confidently make important farm management decisions.
